Students requiring mandatory vaccinations can make an appointment with the Student Care Nurse to fulfill the requirement.

Students requiring vaccinations for travel must make an appointment, 4-6 weeks prior to travel, with a healthcare provider prior to receiving the proper vaccinations. Students should plan to receive travel vaccinations well in advance to their travel because certain vaccines need time to work. Note: Some students have found they had to cancel their trip because the vaccine requirements couldn’t be met.

Immunizations are not covered under the Student Health and Wellness Fee although there is a reduced price for vaccines required for travel required by the University of Chicago and those vaccines required by the State of Illinois for University of Chicago enrollment.
