SCC Physician-On-Call
The Physician-on-call is available after SCC business hours for urgent/emergent situations that cannot wait until the next business day. Please call (773) 702-6840 for the physician.

Location: Primary Care Group, Suite 3B in the UC Hospitals Duchossois Center for Advanced Medicine, 5758 S. Maryland Ave. (Maryland and 58th St.)
What is Urgent Care?
- An appointment based clinic for students with urgent medical needs
- This is NOT a walk in clinic
- Students MUST make an appointment to be seen in Urgent Care
- Please call (773) 834-4630 from 8:30-10:30am on Saturday for appointments
When should you use Urgent Care?
- Saturday mornings when there is an urgent medical need (e.g. sprains, severe pain, fever, etc.)
When NOT to use Urgent Care:
- This clinic is NOT appropriate for: annual check ups, travel visits, starting birth control, or emergency contraception.
- Saturday clinic during the summer is for those students who have paid the summer Student Health and Wellness Fee.
- Remember Emergency Contraception is available at your local pharmacy without a prescription to those over 18 years old.
Emergency Room
- Emergency Room services are NOT COVERED under the Student Health and Wellness Fee. ER services will be billed to the student and their insurance.
- The ER is NOT appropriate for earaches, upset stomach, sore throat, emergency contraception, etc.
- The SCC serves as the students' ER during business hours for non-life threatening issues - come to the SCC first.
- Tell the ER staff you are a student and take your insurance card with you.
